Hey,
I’m David. I’ve worked in the games industry for quite a long time and I wish to stretch those creative muscles a little more as I get a little older.
I’ve worked on a hell of a lot of stuff so far in my career, I’ve been credited in over 30 titles during my time in the business. I hope for that to continue and so indulge me in my attempt at improving my writing skills and attempting to communicate what I think is ‘good’ about the games we play. To that end, this is a website I’ve made and intend to maintain as I work through my old backlog / games collection and try something about these games. At last count I have 700 games in my possession, so this should be one hell of a long trip.
I’m also recently a father and before I get too old I intend to get back out there with some physical pursuits; cycling & football to name two examples. So I may blog about that sort of thing as well.
So stay a while and if you have any comments, drop us a line on the twitter.
So ‘shomakkaa’ was an… attempt… at spelling my surname in Japanese back in the day when I was learning Japanese when I worked at Sony. I thought it was pretty funny so used it as an internet handle since…
My other handle online is ‘narren’ which I only found out after well over a decade of use means ‘fool’ in German… awesome!
